Free Opioid Risk Training for Michigan PAs
DEA Requires 8 Hours of Training
Effective June 27, 2023, the DEA requires registered practitioners to meet a one-time, eight-hour training requirement on the treatment and management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders.
- 
ALL new or renewing DEA-registered practitioners who prescribe schedule II, III, IV, or V drugs to undergo a one-time, eight-hour training requirement.

The current state mandated training may count towards the required eight-hours of training.
 - 
Beginning on June 27, 2023, PAs will be required to check a box on their online DEA registration form affirming that they have completed the new training requirement.
