Allan Riggs

I attended Wake Forest University ( BS in Biology ) and then the Univ. Of Ky for graduate school ( MS in Microbiology , 1975 ) where I did research on histoplasmosis. I was in the third class at the U.Ky. Clinical Associate ( PA ) Program and received a certificate as a primary care PA in 1977 and later received a BHS degree in 1986. I have practiced as a clinical PA for 38 years , including the following: pediatrics for 4 years in Ky, FP for 3 years in Va., college health for 8 yrs in N. C. ( including part-time at the ambulatory care clinic at Camp Lejuene and part-time at Planned Parenthood) and 21 years in college health at Central Mich. Univ. I was on the committee that started the CMU PA Program and have taught there since the program started . I currently teach Infectious Diseases and labs for Hx and PE.
